FATHER, CAMERA, DAUGHTER
A FATHER casts his ten-year-old DAUGHTER to star his minimalist film adaptation of H.C. Anderson’s The Little Match Girl. When his intentions for making the film are questioned by the daughter, the father seems to struggle for a clear answer. After tell her father that she would like to make a film, he invites her to do so. What results is the transformation from bleakness to one of hope.

FIVE IN THE MORNING
I shot this while on a family vacation at a cottage in Crystal Beach, Ontario on Lake Erie. I was in the last days of post production for Fall - the most stressful production I had ever experienced. I became enamoured with a Super-8 app on my smartphone; Super-8 was in fact, how I had first started making films over thirty years ago. Back then I made films for no one but myself, without care or judgement.
