DRAMA/COMEDY CREATED BY: Terrance Odette PRODUCER: Keith Toms, Terrance Odette STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT: Released Sept 2023 Centred on the escapades of Bike (Mike to his mother), a 30-something alcoholic bicycle thief, living hand-to-mouth, bouncing from couch to street, whose main source of income, besides profits from stolen bikes, is collecting empty liquor bottles for refunds. He has one goal: get through the day with enough cash for beer. A neglectful upbringing, lack of self-esteem, booze, lethargy and never having left steel-city Hamilton, Bike is part Midnight Cowboy’s Ratso and part Heater’s the Man - weasely street-smart with an uncanny knack for ending up with the shitty end of the stick. Having fathered a child via a one-night stand ten years ago, Bike wants desperately to be apart of his 10-yr-old daughter’s life but the mother, 20 years his senior and now sober, won’t let Bike even meet her – not unless he shapes up. |

A feature-length ethnographic documentary
By the late 1960's, people living in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada with a direct connection to Racalmuto, Sicily, outnumbered the total population of Racalmuto. Since 1990, The Fratellanza Racalmutese Club of Hamilton celebrate Festa Maria SS. Del Monte, mirroring the festival held annually in Racalmuto for over 500 years. Filmed over three days in June 2018, Filmmaker Terrance Odette,
with a camera, microphone and life-long fascination for culturally significant parades and ceremonies, captures a people’s commitment to community, rain or shine. Through food, play, and religious ceremony the film celebrates the value of cultural performance within the fabric of Canada’s multiculturalism.
